How to Prepare Using Fresh SunGlo-Idaho® Potatoes

For best results, us US grade #1 fresh SunGlo-Idaho® Potatoes, 120 to 140 count, packed in 50 lb. cartons or bags. (For more information about box and potato sizes, click here. Grade #2 SunGlo-Idaho® Potatoes, economically packed in burlap bags, are also ideal for hash browns.

- Pre-cooked and leftover potatoes can be refrigerated (35-40!76 F) for 3-5 days in airtight containers.
Pre-Preparation - Potato skins enhance the natural, homemade flavor and appearance of hash browns. - Using unpeeled potatoes increases the yield of hash browns by 12% or more. - To preserve the potatoes' taste and texture, avoid grating too fine or cutting too small. - Extimated quantities of pre-cooked, peeled potatoes:

Grilling - Add optional ingredients and seasonings before grilling. - Mix gently on grill to coat all pieces. - Do not flatten; keep mixture loose.Cooking Times
Grill hash browns at 375° F for 2-4 minutes. 25 servings can easily be accomodated ona 31" x 32" foodservice grill.
